chromatography, Stationary Phase, Mobile Phase, and type of chromatography
CHROMATOGRAPHY:
chromatography is an important biophysical technique that enable the separation, identification & purification of the components of a mixture for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
STATIONARY PHASE:
The stationary phase in chromatography is the phase that is either a solid & liquid particle attached to a glass or a metal surface on which the components of the mixture to be separated is absorbed selectrively.
MOBILE PHASE:
The mobile phase is chromatography is the phase that either liquid (or) gas that passed through a chromatography system where the components of the mixture are separated at different rates by adsorbing them to the stationary phase.
TYPE OF CHROMATOGRAPHY:
- Affinity
- Anion
- Cation
- Column
- Flash
- Gas
- Gel filteration
- High-Performance liquid (HPLC)
- Hydrophobic Interation
- Ion Exchange
- Liquid
- Paper
- Reverse-Phase
- Thin-Layer (TLC)
